“We exist out of a mutual joy in creating music that we would love to hear.”
Unraveled Artist Interview:
Q: Why did you make this song? What does it mean to you?
A: It is, for us, an anthem of hope found in the darkest of places, a shimmering sunflower rising out of granite and gasoline.
Q: What do you want listeners to understand from this creation?
A: We want listeners to understand that we are explorers and experimenters but that we are with them! We love the classics as much as everyone else but we believe there is a further potential to strive towards in modern music.
Q: How can people support you further?
A: To share our music with anyone that will enjoy it, and to come say hello at our shows.
Q: What is your ultimate vision for your work?
A: To create music that inspires love, passion, and beauty. We want to facilitate an experience that is greater than ourselves in which we are all able to feel a reprise from that in life which is mundane or anguishing.
Q: Do you consider your music to fall within a genre(s)?
A: Music today often crosses the barriers of multiple genres, which has allowed bands the freedom to create their own sub-genres. We like to think of ours as indie-glam-dance-rock.

“Since the advent of rockin’ and rollin’, the tendency towards vocal primacy, in shouting, screaming, and near-vaudevillian dramatism has declined. We Will Be Lions however, is unabashedly rooted in the glam rock stylings of the heroes of the 70s, taking equal measure of influence from disco, psychedelic rock and pop. Everything these guys play is danceable; in fact the need to shake-your-ass is often declared lyrically, so be sure to hit the come hit dance floor, hard.” – Arjun Ray, Unraveled
