ILLIE

Hip Hop • Los Angeles, CA, USA •

Our music has patiently waited to change the world.”

Unraveled Artist Interview:

Q: Why did you make this song? What does it mean to you?
A: We made UCME because we needed an arrogant song that embodied both ILLIE and Raven Sorvino. UCME is a feel good, party-oriented song for ILLIE‘s 2013 success. Like all of our production, UCME means a lot to us because it represents us musically. With UCME, we combined musical elements of Rock with Trap based drums and successfully kept the bounce of a Hip Hop song.

Q: What do you want listeners to understand from this creation?
A: The key point of this song was to show that bands don’t have to be confined to the box of always having to sound completely live. Even though playing live is our thing, laying 808’s in a studio is always a fun alternative.

Q: How can people support you further?
A: You can follow us @ILLIELIFE on all social media & and our website is www.THEILLIELIFE.com. To help support us you can purchase an Angelenos snapback hat and come out to all of our shows! Our new EP A.M. will be out shortly, be sure to get a copy!

Q: What is your ultimate vision for your work?
A: ILLIE‘s vision is to expose the hip-hop/rap community to a new plane of creativity. And master our craft as musicians and innovators.

Q: Do you consider your music to fall within a genre(s)?
A: ILLIE‘s music, by standards falls into the hip-hop/rap genre. But that’s not all ILLIE is. ILLIE‘s music spans over multiple genres like Alternative, Rock, & Electronic.
