“We are an escape.”
Unraveled Artist Interview:
Q: Why did you make this song? What does it mean to you?
A: Patroness was originally our 2nd 7″single, recorded for Luminal Records, then re-recorded for Gender. It’s inspired by Camus and fetish fashion and it’s about girls with too much hairspray in their hair and the inability to understand social interaction.
Q: What do you want listeners to understand from this creation?
A: The grinding bassline.
Q: What is your ultimate vision for your work?
A: Our last album (Gender) was possessed, like the sound of death. Our next album is call Neon Horror, that basically describes it. Ultimately we just want someone in some suburban bedroom somewhere to hear it and realize there’s another world, and it’s worth going on.
Q: How can people support you further?
A: Follow us, wait for new music, buy our albums, come to shows, hype us whenever you can.
Q: Do you consider your music to fall within a genre(s)?
A: Not really, I don’t think any artists like to be put in a genre. But we’re mostly compared to Deathrock, Post Punk, Indie + Art Rock.
