“I created Ararur to give life to my compositions.”
Unraveled Artist Interview:
Q: Why did you make this song? What does it mean to you?
A: Archaïko started out being a homework assignment for a class. After that, I worked on it and it became one full song with three different sections. It represents seduction and sign. Ângela Maria (vocalist of Ararur) did a great job writing the lyrics for the introduction.
Q: What do you want listeners to understand from this creation?
A: They don’t need to understand it. They just need to feel it and enjoy it. Ararur represents a place where no thoughts are allowed to enter, we just feel and live the present moment. I hope Archaïko takes you to this place.
Q: How can people support you further?
A: Hearing and sharing our music with other people is the main thing. If you think our music is good enough, you can also buy it online (on bandcamp, itunes, amazon, etc.). Follow us on Facebook or on Bandcamp and send us an email letting us know what you think email@example.com.
Q: What is your ultimate vision for your work?
A: I hope my music grows at the same time I grow personally. My quest is to go around the world playing music I love with my friends and great musicians. I believe that music can be a healer for the world. No harm in trying.
Q: Do you consider your music to fall within a genre(s)?
A: Mixture between World Music, Jazz and Portuguese lyrics.
